The Institute of Halal Investing introduced a website following the development of an equity-based model of microfinance inspired by the products created by Islamic financial institutions.

This website will provide draft and completed documents about the equity-based microfinance model and data on its effectiveness as it becomes available.

The goal of the equity microfinance project is to demonstrate an alternative way to include the poor in the financial system and combat poverty. We hope it will encourage microfinance institutions to offer profit-sharing microfinance.
